Solo traveler good basic stay

Found the staff to be incredibly friendly and really accommodating. The bathroom was spotless and even had shower gel provided, made things easier.

Wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for what I needed.

The historic building holds a unique charm, giving off an old-world vibe that's different from your typical modern hotel. The location is a standout, with easy access to shops, pubs, and restaurants, making it convenient for a quick bite or a drink.

The reception area feels quite worn and lacks a welcoming presence, resembling less of a hotel lobby and more of an afterthought. Rooms have peculiar layout issues, like coffee tables instead of desks, which might not suit business travelers well. The basin size is oddly small, making it tricky to fill the kettle, and there's no blackout curtain, allowing too much light in for a good night's sleep. the corridors could use a good clean-up, with some clutter lingering that detracts from the overall impression.

The George Hotel Stansted Airport was a lovely place for our family stay. The room had great amenities, including a TV and tea-making facilities, which kept the kids entertained. We appreciated the complimentary toiletries and the helpful staff who made our check-in smooth.

I really appreciated the hotel's close proximity to the beautiful Bishop's Stortford Southern Country Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll, and the range of restaurants just a few steps away made my stay very enjoyable as I explored the area and tasted local cuisine.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi, flat-screen TV, and electric kettle. Staff helped me with plug adaptors on my first stay. I recommend it for a hassle-free experience. I'm coming back for Easter!
